Privacy statement

The General Data Protection Regulation (AVG) strengthens citizens' privacy rights. Climate Adaptation Services, on behalf of the Dutch Ministry for Infrastructure and Water Management, makes every effort to handle personal data properly. We do not store more personal data than necessary to perform our task.

We implement appropriate measures to protect personal data. By applying security protocols at the front end, we ensure that personal data remains secure at all times. Climate Adaptation Services retains personal data only for as long as legally permitted and necessary. For each purpose of processing, we assess the relevance of the data and determine the appropriate retention period.

Once the purpose of processing has been fulfilled and the retention period has expired, the data is either deleted or anonymised. In the case of anonymisation, personal data is stripped of any potentially identifying characteristics, leaving only statistical data that can no longer be linked to any individual. This statistical data is used to gain insights into the usage of our products or services.

Right of inspection

You have the right to access your personal data, as well as the right to request corrections or deletions. This allows you to inquire about the personal data we hold about you and the purposes for which it is used. Additionally, you can follow the procedure outlined below to request changes or deletion of your data. Please use the contact form for this purpose and clearly indicate on the form that you are requesting access. Be sure to include the following details:

  • Your full name
  • A copy of a valid identity document
  • A description of your request

Please note: When submitting a copy of your identification document, ensure that any sensitive information, such as your BSN number (if applicable) and passport photo, is obscured or made illegible. This information is not required.
