Heat stress insurance

In the Netherlands, damage specifically caused by extreme heat events are not explicitly covered by building insurance policies. However, some insurance policies do offer coverage for related risks under broader categories. This relates, for example, to business interruptions or outdoor events. While there exist no insurance policies for extreme heat, various types of insurance may still provide some protection against its impact on health and property. Additionally, in some cases insurance companies provide advice on how to protect against heat-related damages.
