Cold wave/frost insurance

In the Netherlands, most private home insurance policies cover snow and frost related damages. Businesses can choose similar coverage options. and wall, roof and content damage caused by snow pressure. All risk insurance covers wall damage caused by creeping ice. However, poor maintenance may void coverage, and businesses generally cannot claim compensation for damage to fences or materials stored outdoors caused by creeping ice.

Agricultural businesses may insure crop damage from ice and frost through broader weather insurance policies (PDF). For vehicles, hull or all-risk insurance can cover accidents on icy roads, related injuries, and vehicle damage.
